Staff Farewells, June 2017

I am thankful for the team we have at Grant. It is encouraging to consider how God has brought each person here and the vital part they play as we work to build the Kingdom. Just as God works in bringing gifted people to our team, He is also at work in leading some into new opportunities. Today we share that two of our ministry staff are moving in a new direction. In May and June, we will officially recognize each of these men.

Pastor Glenn Miller, Pastoral Care Coordinator, is stepping into a new season of life and ministry. On June 30 he will officially enter the ranks of those who have earned the status of “Retired”! Glenn and Carol have been a tremendous part of our community, and Glenn has brought a spirit of care to our staff and many in our congregation. I know that God has much in store for him in this new season of life, and we are deeply thankful for the way in which God has used him in building the kingdom. Thank you Pastor Glenn for your service and testimony. We look forward to a distinct Sunday to fully recognize your ministry at Grant Memorial.

Tim Bock, one of our Youth Leaders, will also conclude his time on staff June 30. He is beginning missionary service with SIM in Nepal! Tim is working on the process of missionary acceptance and expects to depart Canada in August 2017. This is an exciting step in Tim’s journey as he continues to follow God’s leading. I have deeply enjoyed serving with Tim and appreciated his genuine encouragement. It is impossible to measure his positive and powerful impact on our youth and families. He will be greatly missed, but I’m excited for all that God has in store for him in this new kingdom-building work.

We will celebrate the ministry of both men on two separate Sunday mornings.

  • Sunday, May 28 we will appreciate Tim.
  • Sunday, June 11 we will appreciate Glenn.
